Catholic schools serve as spiritual extensions of the home and provide broader faith communities that enrich and support parish life. In a time when many families long for communities rooted in shared values, Catholic schools offer a spiritual and academic home.
The Allen, Frisco, and McKinney region is home to more than 67,000 children ages 0-4 and more than 157,000 children ages 5-14—a rapidly growing population of young families. Within our five supporting parishes alone, over 21,000 faithful families are registered and 3,390 students in grades K-8 are enrolled in religious education. The three-city area has seen a 125% population growth over the last twenty years.
Despite this vibrant, faith-filled, rapidly growing community, there is no Catholic grade school in central Collin County to provide a fully integrated experience where faith, academics, and community are interwoven daily.
We have a significant opportunity to offer children in our region a formation that is both deeply rooted in Catholic identity and committed to academic excellence—nurturing not only minds, but hearts and souls.
Regional Catholic schools have been a successful model for Catholic education for over a decade, offering greater sustainability and efficiency for local parishes.
Mother Teresa Catholic School will follow a regional model, serving all families in the region while giving enrollment preference to our five supporting parishes: Our Lady of Angels, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Gabriel the Archangel, St. Jude, and St. Michael the Archangel.

This allows for greater personalized instruction, fostering a supportive learning environment where educators can guide students both academically and spiritually. Exact numbers will be dependent on enrollment.

Catholic education offers numerous benefits, emphasizing a holistic approach to learning—one that nurtures individuals academically, spiritually, and morally. Students develop a strong sense of moral values, discipline, and a commitment to community service, fostering a well-rounded character. Faith formation is an important component of every Catholic School. Our schools ultimately form individuals who are capable of putting faith into action within their daily lives.
Catholic schools are pivotal and irreplaceable in transforming young people. Rooted in Gospel values, Catholic education helps students develop strong moral values, personal discipline, and a deep commitment to serving others—shaping well-rounded individuals who will enrich our neighborhoods, strengthen our Church, and positively impact the world.
At Mother Teresa Catholic School, faith formation lies at the heart of our mission. Rooted in Catholic tradition and inspired by the service of Mother Teresa, we are dedicated to helping students recognize and strengthen their understanding of God’s presence in their lives, which in turn, nurtures their understanding of their inherent dignity and that of others. Spiritual growth is supported through religious education, daily prayer, and regular onsite Masses in a dedicated campus chapel. Pastoral care programs and spiritual retreats offer additional opportunities for reflection, providing students with the tools to explore and deepen their faith.
Mother Teresa Catholic School is driven to cultivate a strong faith community that enriches families and positively impacts the community. Our students will be encouraged to engage in activities that promote compassion, empathy, and a commitment to addressing societal issues, aligned with the principles of Catholic social teaching. Students are prepared for their next educational journey so that as adults, they are equipped to lead with integrity, upholding the dignity of all others.

Building a new elementary school presents an opportunity to incorporate technology that supports 21st-century learning. We will leverage technology to create an environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and digital literacy skills throughout the new campus, all while carefully managing screen time and ensuring meaningful student engagement.
While our Catholic schools are founded on religious principles, attendance is not restricted to Catholic students. Mother Teresa Catholic School welcomes students of all faiths. Baptism is not a requirement for admission. All students, regardless of background, will be required to participate in faith formation classes and Catholic liturgical celebrations as part of the school’s integrated faith-based environment.
Catholic schools strive for diversity in their student body, welcoming individuals from various backgrounds and beliefs. This commitment to inclusivity enhances the educational experience by fostering a community that reflects the broader society.
Our schools have specific behavioral expectations rooted in moral and ethical principles. Students are encouraged to uphold core values such as respect, kindness, and integrity, contributing to a positive and disciplined school culture.
Beyond the classroom, students can develop important skills and character traits like teamwork, resiliency, dedication, and perseverance through extracurricular activities in athletics, music, theater, and interest-based clubs aligned to students’ unique interests and passions.
